The NIACRO Centre for Development has been established to offer a comprehensive programme of training and qualifications to meet areas of identified need within Northern Ireland’s criminal justice sector.
The work of the Centre will consolidate, develop and recognise the skills and expertise of staff within organisations involved in supporting adults who have offended as well as young people, children and families who have been or may be vulnerable to being impacted by their or others’ crimes.
Through the Centre for Development, this will be achieved through two main areas of service.

NIACRO has been funded by TEO, through their Minority Ethnic Development Fund which supports those from minority ethnic and/or migrant backgrounds who have been impacted by the Criminal Justice System. The project aims to support NIACRO staff and staff from PBNI/NIPS by providing information and advice on access to services and benefits for these groups.
